Pakistan Denounces India’s Aggressive Rhetoric, Demands Calm

In a statement released in Islamabad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its strong disapproval and condemnation of India’s recent remarks regarding the disputed region of Kashmir. The ministry stated that these statements “distort facts” about the area and are an attempt to threaten security.

The comments were made by Indian officials after Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced plans to hold a referendum in the AJK region, which is claimed by both countries as part of their territory. India has long maintained its stance that Kashmir should be divided according to the wishes of its people and does not recognize any territorial claims.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Pakistan’s position on this issue “remains unchanged” and that it will continue to support the rights of the Kashmiri people to self-determination. The ministry also emphasized India’s attempts to intimidate and threaten Pakistan, particularly in light of recent events such as the killing of two Indian soldiers by Pakistani security forces.

The statement from Islamabad comes after a series of incidents involving India-Pakistan tensions over the past few months, including clashes between troops along the Line of Control (LoC) and reports of ceasefire violations. The situation remains volatile, with both countries engaging in diplomatic efforts to resolve their differences through dialogue.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shahbaz Chaudhry also emphasized that Pakistan will not be swayed by India’s aggressive rhetoric and will continue to support its position on Kashmir. He stated that the country has a long-standing commitment to protecting the rights of its people, particularly those living in occupied territories like Kashmir.

The international community is likely to take notice of these developments, with many countries expressing concern over the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India. The situation remains fluid, but it appears that Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir will remain unwavering.
