All Arrangements in Place for Peaceful Polling in AJK’s Muzaffarabad: Election Commission

The Pakistan Election Commission (PEC) has confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a peaceful polling process in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) region, particularly in the city of Muzaffarabad.

According to sources close to the commission, over 18,000 personnel have been deployed across the AJK region for the upcoming elections. This deployment includes a significant number of police officers, paramilitary forces, and other security personnel who will be responsible for maintaining law and order during the polls.

The election commission has also announced that it has taken necessary precautions to prevent any disruptions or violence during the polling process. The deployment of 46,000 voters’ assistants is expected to ensure a smooth voting experience for citizens.

LA-5 and LA-3 constituencies have been declared as most sensitive areas due to their strategic importance in the region. These constituencies are expected to see high voter turnout, with officials predicting an impressive 50% or higher participation rate.

The election commission has also taken steps to ensure that all polling stations are equipped with necessary infrastructure, including voting machines and ballot boxes. The deployment of medical personnel is also being stepped up to provide adequate care in case of any emergencies during the polls.

Despite concerns about potential disruptions due to security concerns, officials have assured citizens that the elections will be conducted peacefully and without any major incidents. They have also emphasized the importance of exercising their right to vote and participating in the democratic process.

The election commission has set a target date for the elections, which is expected to take place on October 9th this year. The polls are scheduled to run from 8am to 4pm, with voters required to present their valid identification cards and voter registration certificates at the polling stations.

As the country prepares to exercise its democratic right, citizens are advised to cast their ballots peacefully and without any disruptions. With all necessary arrangements in place, it is expected that the elections will be a success, and Pakistan can once again take pride in its democratic process.
