Karachi to Experience More Rain and Thunderstorms Today
A low-pressure system is forecasted to bring more rainfall and thunderstorms to parts of Karachi today, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The weather forecast indicates that motorists should exercise caution while traveling due to the heavy rain showers.
The PMD has predicted a significant increase in precipitation across various areas of Karachi. OnlineGulshan-e-Hadeed reported 4.5 millimeters of rainfall during the morning hours on April 2, 2026. This is expected to be followed by light showers throughout the day and evening.
Humidity levels are also expected to remain elevated across Karachi, with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F). The humidity will continue to increase throughout the day, reaching as high as 60% in some areas.
The PMD has issued a weather warning for parts of Karachi, advising residents and visitors to take necessary precautions. Motorists are advised to drive cautiously on roads affected by heavy rain showers and flooding.
The low-pressure system is expected to move slowly over the city, bringing more rainfall and thunderstorms throughout the next three days. Residents are urged to stay indoors during the heaviest periods of rain and to avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary.
