Pakistan and Kuwait have reiterated their commitment to strengthening their bilateral relations, with the two countries agreeing to enhance cooperation in various fields.
The meeting between Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Kuwaiti Emir Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah took place on January 15 at the presidential palace in Riyadh. The discussions centered around issues of trade, investment, and economic development.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to increase bilateral trade between Pakistan and Kuwait, with a focus on promoting cooperation in sectors such as textiles, automotive, and energy. They also expressed their commitment to enhancing mutual understanding and people-to-people exchanges through cultural events and educational programs.
The two countries have been strengthening ties over the past few years, with significant progress made in areas such as trade facilitation, investment promotion, and capacity building. The agreement between Pakistan and Kuwait on January 1 this year marked a new chapter in their bilateral relations, with both sides committing to work together to promote economic growth and development.

Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry, Saeed Al-Jaber, expressed his country’s commitment to strengthening its ties with Pakistan through increased cooperation in areas such as textiles, automotive, and energy. He also highlighted Kuwait’s efforts to promote economic development and growth in the region.
The meeting concluded on January 16 with a joint statement expressing the commitment of both countries to enhance their bilateral relations and work together towards promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East.
